About

I am a 36 year old (as at 2009) male from England. I am the proud father of two beautiful children and live in the heart of the country, in the city of Birmingham. I like to play tennis, snooker, golf, football and cricket. I also enjoy watching a great variety of sports. People see me as a bit of a “workaholic”.

As well as being a speech coach, where I primarily help people who have a stammer or stutter to achieve fluency, I am also an experienced website marketer. Both of these are more of a hobby than a vocation which makes me a very lucky person.

The art of website promotion is one that takes up a large part of my day as it essential to keep up to date with any changes that occur. For example, being aware of any changes that Google makes to its guidelines and the way that it ranks a website is an essential element of website promotion. What worked well only two or three years ago may well result in your website being banned today – paid links spring to mind here!

I would recommend people who have their own website to regularly read the following sites:

These sites are well worth a read and should keep you up to date with any changes within the SEO and web marketing world.

I am often asked as to what are the best ways to promote a website. I personally believe in the power of link building; firstly because it can help your site to obtain a higher search engine ranking position but also because it enables you or your website to have its name “out there”, the more websites you appear on, the more people should get to hear and read about you. This then in turn can encourage them to also link to you.

Adding new, fresh, quality content to your website on a regular basis is also very important as this stops the site from becoming “stale” and it also shows the search engines that you “are still in business”.
